The majority of people that answered my survey said that they would pay between £1 and £3.50. This is because most of the people that I am targeting my magazine too is a younger audience so they may not be able to afford a more expensive magazine.

3. How often do you read magazines?
31.82% of the people that filled out my survey said that they only read magazines a couple of times a year. 27% of the people read magazines a few times a month, 27% never read them, 9% read magazines once a week and 4% read them once a week.
4. On average, how long would you spend reading a magazine?
14 of the people that took the survey spend less than an hour reading magazines, 6 of the people that filled it out spend 1-2 hours reading a magazine and 2 people spend all day reading them.
5. What age group do you think that my magazine should be aimed at?
14 people said that my magazine should be aimed at ages 16-20 year olds. 5 people said that it should be aimed at 12-16 years olds. 1 person said it should be aimed at 30+ and 1 person said it should be aimed at 50+
6. What would you be interested in seeing in a fashion/gossip magazine?
There was a variety of answers for this question and there are a lot of different aspects that people are interested in seeing inside a fashion/gossip magazine. They want to see a lot of everything such as bands and music's, latest movies, celebrity gossip, real life stories, fashion tips, and television and gossip. The least two popular aspects were books and book reviews, and Diets and health plans. This may be because younger audiences are not so much interested in reading about books and diets compared to celebs and fashion.

Most of the people that answer said that the magazine should be aimed at females and a small amount of people said that it should be aimed at men. 17 out of the 22 people that answered the survey said female.
8. What colour scheme would you like to see on this magazine?
The most popular colour scheme is pink, black and white or just pink and white. This is because pink is usually a colour that is aimed towards females and is an eye catching colour that a lot of females look at instantly. The next most popular colour scheme was red and black. I got one response that said "you should use a range of colours because you don't want to be stereotypical". This was a very helpful comment as it is true that using certain colours to target to certain audiences is wrong. No one wanted to see the colour scheme yellow and green.
By carrying out a survey i found out that my magazine is aimed at girls aged 16-20. They wanted the colour scheme to be pink, white and black and they want my magazine to be called 'XOXO'.
